Recover themselves

Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 2
2 Timothy 2:25-26 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Those who teach the truth of the Bible cannot change anyone's heart. What they can do is to instruct others with a meek attitude. They can show mercy and grace and tell the truth of God.

If they will hear this truth, and admit they are wrong, God will give them repentance. It takes humility to come to God because we must admit that we are sinners. Those who oppose the truth of God oppose themselves. They contradict themselves with their ideas and lifestyle. But when they hear the truth about Jesus Christ and confess him as Lord, then repentance begins to come to them in all things.

People must recover themselves. What does this mean? Does it mean that salvation is a work that we must do? No, it means that a person must hear the truth of Jesus and trust him in order to be delivered from the snare of the devil. A person who opposes Bible truth is in the devil's snare and the only way out is repentance.

Will you in meekness share the truth of Jesus today? Who knows what God will do?!!!

In Christ,
Rody
