The Lord Direct Your Heart

Bible Reading: 2 Thessalonians 3

2 Thessalonians 3:5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

The direction of your heart is an important thing. Your heart leads your life. Jesus teaches us that the heart is where sin comes from.

Mark 7:21-23 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Are you letting the Lord direct your heart? If he is not, the natural inclination of your heart is toward sin and your life will continue in the natural direction. The Bible tells us that keeping your heart is a high priority.

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

How do you keep your heart? Paul prayed that Jesus would direct their hearts into the love of God. The Lord can keep your heart and he has promised to do that if you will pray.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

What should your heart be focused on? If should be focused on the love of God. If your heart is full of the love of God, his love will flow through you. You will be a blessing to others and you will be waiting for the coming of Jesus. Will you allow the Lord to have your heart? Will you allow the Lord to direct your heart?

Do you want to have your heart fixed on Jesus? Then treasure him above all else.

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

If you treasure Jesus, that is where your heart will be. Let him keep your heart until he comes for you.

In Christ,
Rody
