The dragon was wroth with the woman

Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 25; Revelation 12; Zechariah 8; John 11

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The dragon is Satan and the woman is Israel. Not only did the dragon try to devour her child (Jesus) as soon as he was born, but he hates the woman and the remnant of her seed. Who is the remnant of her seed? The Bible tells us it is those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. That would be the church. The dragon hates the church and is making war with her. We must never forget that we have an enemy. We must also always remember who the enemy is. We are not at war with men, but with the spiritual forces behind the motives of men.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The devil is like a roaring lion. Not only does he want to impersonate the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Jesus Christ, but he is also ferocious! He is seeking whom he may devour. The devil is a murderer.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The Bible reminds us that we must be prepared for his war we are engaged in.

Ephesians 6:10-11 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Christians who are not ready for battle are sheep for the slaughter of Satan. Not only must we be ready for war, but we must also know who the true enemy is.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

There is only one way to overcome this enemy.

1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Stay true to the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Know who the true enemy is and resist him. Stand strong soldier of Jesus Christ!

In Christ,

Rody
